CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES

(CEU'S)

NEATS offers continuing education classes for therapists to expand their knowledge and explore new modalities to enhance their practice. Participants receive credits that are recognized by The State of New Hampshire and The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork,and meet all requirements for recertification and licensure. 

We offer a wide range of different types of classes that allows the practitioner to expand on the skills that they have as well as explore other therapies that interest them. As the therapist expands their knowledge they also are fulfilling licensing requirements. 
 

JUST A SAMPLING OF SOME OF THE CLASSES:

COMMON HIP PROBLEMS
In this class we will review basic anatomic and biomechanical relationships and then cover methods of assesment and evaluation. Treatments will also be included.  

TUINA MASSAGE
The Ancient Chinese Art of Bodywork. Tuina means push/pull and encompasses all forms of bodywork. The key to Tuina is proper assessment and evaluation and when properly used it's effectiveness is unparalleled. In China, the hand manipulations are used instead of surgery. 

HYPNOTHERAPY
A tool to help access mental, emotional and physical blocks or patterning that keeps you from wellness. It is a tool to allow the unconscious mind to be able to communicate with the conscious mind to help release the patterning. 

REIKI
Universal Life Force Energy. Learn the Usui System of Natural Healing. Learn The Reiki Hand positions, how treatments are given, treat yourself, family,friends ,animals and plants. Directions are given on how to treat specific ailments both physical and mental. First Degree, Second Degree, and Master Levels Taught  

INTRODUCTION TO EQUINE MASSAGE
This class will offer massage therapists the opportunity to become exposed to the growing field of equine massage. The course will cover basics in technique as well as theory. Along with the traditional equine massage techniques such as sports massage, we will expose you to alternative and copmplimentary therapies such as herbal and hydrotherapy applications. This class is held at the equestrial center so, please dress accordingly !  

ETHICS SERIES
The massage therapy ethics series is disigned to discuss the issues facing therapists in this constantly changing and growing industry in wich we practice.  

COMMON SHOULDER PROBLEMS
This course will review anatomy and biomechanics, cover procedures to determine the source of the dysfunction. We will also teach treatment for many ailments affecting the shoulder. This course was very popular last year so be sure to register early ! 
 

All of our faculty members and guest instructors are highly educated and respected professionals in their field of expertise. 
 

Classes are held evenings and weekends for convenience
